Energy Performance of Buildings Directive -
European wide legislation requiring Member states to improve their Building Regulations with regard to energy performance and put in place the certification of buildings, it’s primary objectives are; to assist with the creation and adoption of national laws and regulations, create favourable conditions for common solutions, support the follow up of legislative implementation and encourage sharing of experience and good practice.
In the UK this has resulted in the following key requirements:
- EPCs to be produced for New Builds and properties for sale or letting
- DECs to be produced for public buildings over 1000m2
- The inspection of Air Conditioning Systems over 12kw output
- The inspection of Boiler Installations over 20kw output
Accredited to both Level 3 and 4 I can carry out EPCs on both simple and complex buildings and can advise on and source DECs, Air Conditioning and Boiler Inspections as well as provide strategic advice on the general implications of the legislation to businesses both small and large.
